NOW Rain?????

Well it looks like we'll be going inside to practice tomorrow and Saturday as the Wichita area now is expecting 1-2 inches of rain and chili temperatures.  Plus the groundhog saw his shadow so are we going to have 6 weeks of winter?  I guess with how the weath has been all winter, I can't really complain but it always seems to change when Spring baseball is about to kick off. 

Good ol' miswest weather...got to love it!

Due to expectation of rain our opener in Chickasha, OK has been moved from Friday and Saturday to Sunday and Monday.  This means I will hope to catch the second half of the Super Bowl in my hotel room.  Oh the life of a college baseball coach. 

Wind and Baseball do NOT mix

It never fails.....When we have a nice day temp wise it is windy.  I guess since were in Kansas where its always windy it would be out of character if it wasn't windy.  Since we haven't had any moisture the windy blows the dirt off of our infield.  Normally we would water the infield but since we play at a city park, the city decides when the water gets turned on.  Oh well, we are hoping for a move to a new field in the future.

Good Weather

This has been the best weather I can remember in all my years of preparing for a baseball season.  Nothing makes baseball more enjoyable than the nice weather.  I hope you all enjoy it as well!

Spring Baseball is Approaching

I am an Assistant Baseball coach and our Spring season is 8 days away.  My guys look very good since they returned from Christmas Break.  I hope it isn't me being optimistic and they are truely ready to play.
